A statue by John Gibson. Not generally my kind of thing. But somehow, her delicacy, in the light gently filtered through the opaque windows of the Royal Academy’s Sackler Wing… lovely.
What a fabulous piece of sculpture. My late mother and aunt went to Blackburn House School (for girls) in Liverpool, and every day they passed by one of his sculptures in the main hallway..."Hylas surprised by the Nympmphs". My mum thought it was a wonderful work of art(as I do). I'll put a photo of it in my blog next week.
