Sent there by Dave, I'm reading the blog of Tom Fox, the American peace worker kidnapped and killed in Iraq. The numbing, ungraspable horror of it all gives way briefly to sorrow for one man.

Tom was a classmate of mine in high school, so I've been blogging about him since his capture in November. This was devastating news to come down Friday night. I'm heartsick. Blessed are the peacemakers. . .

I found Tom's blog as well the other day. It makes this tragedy so very real and immediate. A remarkable man.
