  Three

Punts

summer afternoons
of lazy youth remembered
sun on weathered wood

Crossing

crossing the river
leaving then to be with now
may not be easy

Meditation for existentialists

wake early and sit
wrapped warmly in a blanket
being nothingness

Comments:
Jean, these are so good, all three of them - the second in particular strikes a chord with me . And the photos match perfectly

"being nothingness"

how perfect

I have a beautiful piece of calligraphy on my wall ... a large kanji character and the translation "having nothing is having everything"

Lovely! Coincidentally, I just wrote about punting on the Thames (though I called it boating so as not to confuse my compatriots) this morning.

Jean, these are really very nice, paired with photos, and as a trio.

wonderful haikus
photos fine, and no cliched
old cherry blossom
